So in my Psychology class today we watched this video about the brain's ability to recover from damage. This kid had epilepsy and they removed pretty much all of the left half of his brain. After the surgery, he couldn't talk and was paralyzed on the right side of his body. But then by the time he was 13, most of his paralysis was gone! He was steering a 4-wheeler and swimming and everything! And he and his mom were working on re-teaching him to speak. It was crazy!! The human body really is amazing.
In other news: This is the week before finals and I have so much work to do. I seriously probably shouldn't even be typing this right now. But I feel no real sense of urgency. I guess that makes it all good, right?
Random Tuesday Morning Thought: I feel so adventurous and out-doorsy eating my mountain trail mix and looking at the picture of a river in Alabama on my laptop inside my dorm room.
Another interesting thought to ponder: Last Tuesday my voice teacher told me that when we fall for someone, we have seen Jesus in him or her. Which reminded me of when Vance was preaching last year and quoted someone [I wanna say Dallas Willard, but maybe not] about how we are made to embody a thought of God. So, by my logic when you or I fall for someone, we have recognized and realized who they were created to be.

ooooo that last bit was powerful.
I like reading your blog because it meets all my needs. I learn more about the daily happenings of Angie, laugh a little, and then leave with a thought to ponder. Nice work :)
LOVE your comment about the trail mix and river in Alabama. You really aren't very outdoorsy, are you? lol
Wow... whenever I hear stories like that it makes me feel like I should stop complaining about my own weaknesses. This kid is breaking physical boundaries and I think I can't even pass a final. Good stuff, Angie.
Trail mix will do that to you.
Your voice teacher is a perceptive person. That makes a lot of sense... I'll have to remember that.
